metempsychic | Appearance in the Box

Face:

Everyone probably knows what Link looks like. He's a young man with blonde hair, long ears, a green tunic and a floppy hat... But this Link is a bit different than his reincarnations. While they have timeless, youthful faces this one does not. He has a face with a very distinct age to it-mid twenties-and marked by experiences, most of them unpleasant. After spending four years chained to a wall under horrible conditions he is gaunt with pale skin and dark circles under his eyes, though those circles are slowly fading. He looks, and indeed is, frail but he's still Link. His startlingly blue eyes are still intense and determined. Almost unnecessarily intense. He seldom smiles, but when he does his expression is warm, kind and often full of sadness. In his better moods his expressions are joyous or mischievous. When angry he obviously looks wrathful but it's interesting to note that in the heat of battle he will smile in a way that is psychotic. If he smiles at you like that it'd probably be a good idea to run because he's likely figuring out ways to rip your left lung out through your right nostril.

Clothing:

He came in with his standard Link garb, consisting of the iconic hat and tunic. This Link also wears golden armor and a heavy red cloak around his shoulders. The armor is torn on the left side and the tunic has recently been sloppily mended with thread from Foodland in the Box.

Body:

He is 5'4" which is short even amongst his people and most other male Hylians are noticeably taller than him. Normally his slender build is lined with muscle but that's not true anymore. He is training every day to bring his strength back up, but he has a long way to go. Of course, he still has weirdly cut abs for a guy who is so weak he can barely run but that's manga for you. In keeping with Bishonen Law he also seems incapable of growing body hair, even a beard, even after 4 years in a cell.

Posture, Stance:

Normally Link's posture is tall and proud which is directly the result of military training. Right now he slouches a bit but he tries to pull himself up when giving one of his hero speeches. Often, he looks someone directly in the eye when speaking, sometimes to an uncomfortable degree but he will avert his gaze if he's sad or upset. An actor he is not. His emotions are always plainly readable in his eyes and in his body language.

Scars:

There are huge scars down the left side of his body where he was raked by a demon's claws and smaller scars and bruises are visible on his wrists and ankles where he used to struggle against his chains. After coming to the Box he has more scars on the back of his left hand reading "Sinner".

Voice:

Link has no canonical voice but the one I describe and imagine for him is soft and low. The best comparison I can think of is to say Link sounds like a bit like Alessandro Juliani. In the manga this Link is shown to also have different speech patterns from the others. He has a loftier diction and sometimes uses a more Shakespearean syntax... but you can see that in his tags.
